Tras una breve introducción en la que se les informó de las competencias del Consuldado británico en España y la localización de las diferentes sedes ubicadas en la Comunidad Valenciana, los asistentes pudieron realizar sus ruegos y preguntas. Asimismo algunos pudieron ser atendidos posteriormente en privado, por los ponentes para resolver dudas de carácter más personal. El alcalde de Els Poblets, Jaime Ivars, fue el encargado de abrir el acto. ***************************************** Representatives of the British Consul resolve the doubts of residents on matters relating to benefits, pensions and health The Advisor of Benefits, Pensions and Health, Martyn Standing and the Vice-Consul, Lloyd Millen, both of the British Consulate of Alicante, yesterday afternoon gave a talk at the Casa de Cultura of Els Poblets in order to clarify doubts among the British residents on issues related to health, pensions and benefits. An initiative was organized by the English-Speaking Residents Group of Els Poblets, who comprise 13% of the total of the population (431), in collaboration with the Town Hall of Els Poblets and was attended by more than a hundred British residents.. After a brief introduction which informed them of the powers of the British Consul in Spain and the locations of the various offices located in the Valencian Community, the attendees took part in a question and answer session. Afterwards some people were seen in private by the speakers to resolve more personal questions. The mayor of Els Poblets, Jaime Ivars, was responsible for opening the event. Der Fachmann für Vorsorge, Rente und Gesundheit, Martin Standing, und Vizekonsul Lloyd Miller, beide vom britischen Konsulat in Alicante, veranstalteten gestern eine Konferenz im Kulturhaus von Els Poblets. Diese diente dazu, Fragen der englischen Residenten zu den Themen Vorsorge, Rente und Gesundheit zu klären. Die Konferenz wurde veranstaltet von der Englisch sprechenden Residentengruppe von Els Poblets in Zusammenarbeit mit der Stadtverwaltung. Mehr als 100 der 431 gemeldeten Engländer waren gekommen. Zunächst gab es einen kurzen Überblick über die Aufgaben der britischen Konsulate in Spanien und die Orte, in denen sie sich in der Comunidad Valencia befinden. Danach konnten die Anwesenden ihre Fragen und Wünsche äussern. Hinterher wurden einige Probleme noch in Einzelgesprächen behandelt, da sie persönlicher Natur waren.
